MOSINEE, Wisc. (WJFW)- Mosinee came in to their matchup against Rice Lake with an impressive 8-1-1 record, coming off of a big 50-20 win against Shawano in the opening round of the playoffs. Rice Lake, on the other hand, was 8-2 after defeating Merrill 60-6 in their Level-One game.A 22-point 2nd quarter helped pave the way for Rice Lake, as they went on to win it 42-33.Mosinee falls to 8-2-1 as a result of the loss, while Rice lake improves to 9-2 with the win.This loss ends Mosinee's season, but they were still able to achieve their preseason goal of Great Northern Conference champions, so they didn't go home empty-handed.
